NEW FAMILIES

PLEASE ENSURE THE OFFICE HAS A COPY OF THE STUDENT’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE

WE ALSO REQUIRE THE LEGAL RESIDENCY FORM

We would like to welcome back all of our returning families and extend a warm welcome to all of our new friends. September is always a time of excitement, yet with that can come anxiety and nervousness for many children. We will do our best to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible and to ensure that each child feels loved, respected and safe. Please read the information we have posted here for you so we may partner with you in your child’s educational journey.

A Montessori learning environment is like no other!

Our main objective at Meadow Montessori is to provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment which will help children to develop within themselves the foundational habits, attitudes, skills and ideas essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning.

Our community of teachers  and specialty staff  are dedicated to making Meadow Montessori School the best environment for children to learn to be independent, responsible and kind citizens who think for themselves.

We want our kids to be enthusiastic about our world so they will be inspired to continue to learn beyond the classroom, past their years in school and become actively involved in the stuff of life that truly matters, to become leaders.

We are honoured that you are a part of our community this year and we are confident that this will be a wonderful journey for everyone involved!

Click on the tabs below for what to bring on the the first day.

IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE
  • The Parent Handbook is an essential resource for your family. It is posted on our website in an easy to follow format. If you are new to us, please read it thoroughly as it contains the information that will help you gain the most enjoyment of your time here at Meadow Montessori School.
  • Every year our Open House is a wonderful opportunity to bring your child by to meet with the teachers and visit their classroom and the school. This year our Open House will be held on THURSDAY, August 30th from 1PM to 3PM. All preschool, kindergarten, & other new student families please come and drop by to say hello anytime between 1 PM and 3 PM for a short visit. It’s good for the kids to see things again before the first day of school.
  • NEW THIS YEAR is our Back-to-School Night for Parents! Please come to the school on Thursday, August 30th from 6PM -7PM to have a brief meeting with your class teachers. Here you will learn the schedules of the week and other important information that will help you support your child at school. Children are welcome; care will be available.
  • The Annual Meet & Greet Picnic is held this year at Maple Ridge Park on Saturday, September 8th, from 11AM – 2PM. This is a wonderful time to make some new friends or get caught up about your experiences from the summer. It is also a good time to do some parent networking for car-pooling and play dates. This is a potluck affair so watch for the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the office once school starts.
  • Parent Association: Committee Members Needed! Our school depends on the commitment of our parents and I encourage you to become actively involved. It is our belief that parental involvement will directly benefit your child’s education so we strongly encourage you to be involved in all our school events. Sign up for Committee’s will be available at the Back to School Parent Night and the Picnic.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email!
